Relaxing, intuitive massage
Reiki plus massage is a powerful combination
Intuitive massage isn't a regular type of massage such as a sports massage. I will always be giving energy healing throughout the massage and will be guided by the horse as to if massage is right for them at this time and where on their body they want and need it. The massage techniques can be used with varying pressure, but again this will be horse-led, as it needs to feel good for them! We also use different acupressure points and the bladder meridian too.
What are the benefits?
The benefits combine all those that can take place from the reiki energy healing (clearing blocked energy and stuck emotions to aid the body to heal physically, emotionally and spiritually) and massage (ease muscle tension, improved joint mobility, improved lymphatic drainage). This means the overal benefits to the horse can be amplified when you combine these two therapies. Horses thoroughly enjoy it! Espeially as it is not forced - as we are working 'with' the horse, not on the horse when giving both healing and massage.
